1986 | Boca Juniors | Away

I'm obsessed with Boca's take on that template made famous by Germany. The way Boca's typical shirt aesthetic of blue-gold-blue is utilised through the pattern is perfect, and the unusual sponsor placement (of both versions) is my kind of thing, too.

Red Star FC | 125th anniversary

Honestly, I'm still not over this. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd have the chance to design a shirt for a pro club, let alone an anniversary shirt. Several friends were involved during the process as I tinkered with the look which only made everything more special.

2004 | South Korea | Home

Nike's Total 90 shirts helped me fall in love with football shirts. I can't fully explain why, but something about the design and it's usage across teams resonated with me in a big way. One of my collecting goals was to pick up one of the special boxed T90 shirts, so achieving that was a highlight.

1995 | PSV | Away

The collar on this shirt is my single favourite detail of any shirt, ever. It's a simple idea flawlessly executed. Throw in the amazing colour scheme and the fact O Fenômeno played in these shirts during his time at the club and you have all the right ingredients.

1996 | Borussia Dortmund | Cup Away

This was another collecting goal. I remember having a mug with this shirt on back in the early days, never thinking I'd ever own one. It was the obvious choice to bring out and flex when I made a brief appearance on BBC Breakfast last year.

My Collection

Other than a long-term goal to collect as many Boca Juniors shirts as I can, my collection is pretty fluid. Lots of shirts come and go, there are lots of sub-themes which develop over time. It's a bit all over the place in all honesty, like many of the best shirts I guess.
